CEDR project group ITS

Rijkswaterstaat (Dutch Ministry of Transport) is a member of CEDR (Conference of European Directors of Roads), an association of 26 European national road authorities. Within this association, the road authorities exchange knowledge and develop a shared vision and strategy for national and European authorities. CEDR is controlled by the Governing Board, in which each member is represented.

Rijkswaterstaat is chairman of the Project Group ITS & services. One of the tasks of this project group is the implementation of the ITS Action Plan of the European Commission.
Since 2009, DoubleSense and ARCADIS are supporting Rijkswaterstaat. This support includes research, consultancy and the project secretariat. In 2011 Rijkswaterstaat extended the support contract for 2 more years.
